I'm so glad these books are available! My 4 and 7 year olds responded really well - it was easy for them to understand and conceptualize a little bit of how their brains can work! Honestly, it's helpful for adults too!
My five year old loves the entire set. When her three year old brother started crying in the car she started coaching him through the feelings by saying "Its amygdala barking and this is a one or a two on the problem scale... let's breathe together". I was amazed at how quickly she picked up the concepts.
I read this book to my 6 year old son and we are adopting the first aid for your brain into our entire household! CBT at a young age is so vital nowadays. Highly recommend.
