Thank you for giving me this opportunity for feedback. I found the book really great. Simple and when I read it for the 4th time I used a sample small brain I have and had marked it where the book was. This created dialogue and further understanding for the young child. As a therapist I've tried many ways to reexplain this and so far, this is the simplest way of explaining the brain and it allowed me to give as much info as they needed to know.
Purchased as a baby shower gift for a speech therapist, I myself thought it was a beautiful book and considering the collection for my own kids as it is in alignment with my vales and wish we had something like this growing up. Well written and illustrated. Just beautiful
I love that this book doesn’t dumb down how the brain is working but is also very approachable. My five year old can now say, “Mum’s amygdala is barking” or talk about if a problem is big or small. Highly recommend it!
A must have on Primary classroom library
Great idea for a kids book, helpful for adults too.
